At The Skin Shop we are a full service facility that is capable of Designing, Fabricating, Consulting and doing Vendor Liaison/Management.

Not only are we the ones to call when faced with a new and challenging project, we are also a resource for the maintenance group that is always being asked to do more with less. Whether it be redesigning the plastics on existing piece of animation or animated prop … or simply manufacturing replacement parts and/or repairing what already exists.

Because we are involved with both the design and fabrication processes, as well as the maintenance and problem solving aspects of our work, our recommendations and designs are always tempered with that “Lessons Learned” approach and “thinking outside of the box” is always where we start with our ideas or solutions. That maintenance aspect of the process is always there keeping things grounded and making sure the product is long lasting and worthy of the time and effort spent creating it.

The Skin Shop has all the equipment necessary to produce plastics of nearly every type. Our equipment includes:

-An industrial oven

-One of the four ever built Disney hot melt machines

-A silicone spray/injection machine

-A full size vacuum chamber

-A down draft table with dust collector

-An A-fame with 2,000 Lb hoist for those larger projects

-Drill presses

-Disk sanders

-Band saws

-All the hand tools which maybe needed

-A number of work stations which are equipped with the air and power to accommodate any requirement
